I have only played D&d one time, but I am interested in purchasing some books and maybe joining a regular meeting group. My question is: What would be the version to buy with the best possiblity of finding someone to play with?

You got two good choices, man.  There's people who are sticking to 3.5 or older editions.  If you like older D&D or know/want to play with people who do, then Pathfinder is the way to go.  Pathfinder takes D&D 3.5 and adds some new rules and things to the old system to create that old D&D feel with some new spins.

Elsewise, the newest edition of D&D is 4.0.  It's a little bit different than the old D&D, but it's still great.  It definitely takes D&D to a new level.  If you're interested in this then the new 4.0 is for you.

Either way, we could use a good DM for either one.  I know I would play!

Thanks for the answers. Now one more question. Do you sell d&d books and such at the store?
