I will be hosting a tournament on June 20th that will be consisting of 3 First Person Shooters and there will be a mini tournament for each one. As far as I know there will be Halo 3 (Xbox 360), Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Xbox 360), and then I will be hosting a poll between Quake 3 Arena and Counter Strike Source on the PC. As far as the poll, you may just message me which game between Quake 3 Arena and Counter Strike Source and I will tally up the votes for the game. Teams will be 2 players each with a $10 entry fee per person. If we get just 10 teams, the prize will be $120 for the team, or $60 per person. I have not yet determined the match settings for each game, but if you will post your suggestions I will gladly consider them. Also for Halo 3, I'm not sure whether people would like to do the tournament as Swat or just regular Halo 3, but if you would like to do Swat then just post that will be an option. I will have more information on this event posted later. -Jon Jernigan (aka Jdog)

Scratch that... I actually will just host 2 SEPERATE tournaments on June 20th. One Call of Duty Modern Warfare on the PC, and one Halo 3 on the Xbox (360). Still $10 entry fee per person and it will be 2v2 on the Halo 3 tournament and 3v3 on the Call of Duty 4 Tournament. Need atleast 10 teams for the tournament. That means if we don't have 10 teams for the Call of Duty 4 tournament, then there will be no Call of Duty 4 Tournament, and same for Halo 3. The tournaments will begin at 3pm Saturday afternoon. I do not yet know the format for the tournaments. Cash prize depends on the amout of teams showing up. Sign ups will be, for right now, just messaging me your name, number, and the tournament you wish to participate in. Hope everyone will enjoy the tournament! -Jon Jernigan (aka Jdog)

Hey sorry to say this guys but it looks like my tournament is cancelled, unless i get enough posts saying we should do the call of duty tournament i'm going to cancel it considering that the halo 3 tournament that john is hosting is the week after, i do not believe mine will have much business. So if i get enough posts on this topic such as the one above i will host a call of duty 4.

A little advice...
This goes out to all of you who may be interested in hosting player run tournaments.
Coming from me, I know how hard it is to run a tournament, get interest built, get the word out, find rules for the tournament, set entry fee, etc. etc. etc....
But the thing is: if you never try, you'll never learn.
When I first started hosting tournaments at the store we had... maybe 10 people? Now, that's sounds like a pretty good number, and some of you may not even get that many people for your first tournament. However, I had a store backing me. That makes a huge difference. But still that's a low number for a "store" tournament. But you know what, those 10 people that came had a great time, and when they went home they told all their friends, "I had fun at the Gaming Center playing in that tournament... you should go next time." Then, the next one rolls around, and I've got 20 people... Then 40... and that's how our Halo 3 Tournaments of today came to be. Our last Halo 3 tournament had 20+ teams in 2v2! That's over 40 people. And it took us a YEAR to get that many. I know many of you can do much better! But, again, if you never try... you'll never know. Even I still have terrible tournaments! Look at the last Street Fighter 4 Tournament... we had ONE person!!!
But don't quit! Even if you have two people, it can be a success! Just make sure those two people have an amazing time! Then they'll tell their friends, then their friends, and so on, and so on...
What I would like to see is our players rally together and create a weekly set of tournaments from like Street Fighter 4 to CoD 4 to more! That was what the whole player run system was for. Then think about it if you started hosting a weekly tournament, and it became a HIT! You could make $50+ each week... JUST FOR HAVING FUN! You never know what's going to happen. But I will tell you one thing... sitting back and never trying... will NEVER get things going!
This is just my suggestion for all of you who are even THINKING of hosting a Player Run Event. John

Thank you John for that, and Chrismantic thanks for the two teams, and since you have requested for it to be 2v2 i will answer your request with a yes. I'm sure the Conway Gaming Center can scrounge up a couple or something but we only need 3 more teams to make it real fun, thats only SIX PEOPLE! So if we could just get those 6 people, that would be absolutely amazing. If you have any questions about not bein able to make it or another time would be better, please inform me. You can call me at (501) 472-8685.

I have yet to decide the rules, but I do believe that if John still has the Promod for CoD4 I will use that mod and will have to choose a few maps. Do you have any map requests?

Well I've got bad news. One of my teams had a death in there family last night so they can't arrive. And I had to fire an employee thursday so I'm left watching the shop. So unfortunately we can't make it physically to the tournament. But I've got an alternate idea.
We could lan with each other and I could still play and you guys could still play. Get some friendly scrimage and maybe plan in the future a wandemonium type event between the two Centers. Make it a big event sorta thing.
Again sorry about the last moments notice but until this morning I thought we were still coming.
