If I can get all the info on what exactly happens on Delve Night, I'll DM on Wednesday nights. That is, if we can get a group of people actually interested and determined to come. I might be able to do a second one on Sunday nights if the Wednesday night goes well.
If it has to be 4.0, I'll need to read up on it and see what all I can afford. If 3.5 is okay, my PHB is "borrowed" at the moment, but otherwise I have enough books for a 3.5 campaign.
Interested parties? Comments?

My girlfriend and I have talked about finding a DnD game to join/start. We only have books for 4th ed. I dunno exactly what days would work for us yet, but we are interested none the less. =)

Sounds good. I'll be there tomorrow night to read up and if it looks easy, I can kick it off.

Okay, so I know this topic is pretty much dead, but I'm going through D&D withdraws. I'm in the process of painting some miniatures, and I have some 3.5 books. I can come in Sundays around 7 PM. If I can get a definite yes from 2 or more peeps, I'll pile some stuff together for a quest starting the 31st. I'm a noob DM, but very flexible and adapt pretty easily to unexpected situations.

May want to wait one week to start the D&D campaign. January 30 and the 31 is the Worldwake PreRelease, and you wouldn't be able to get too quiet of an atmosphere with everyone around. But I know a LOT of people who would play if you give me a heads up, and let me get the word out. What would be the max players you would want? Also, would you want to do 3.5 OR Pathfinder? It is 3.5, and I know a lot of people jonesing to play some Pathfinder.

I've heard of pathfinder, but haven't played or seen any of it. Probably just 3.5 the first time through if I'm gonna DM, just so I don't mess something up. It's the worst feeling to be the DM and have the players point out my mistakes. But if someone else wants to take the reigns on a Pathfinder, I'd be up for playing. The thing I want most is something consistent - someone that can devote a set day/time with only critical things getting in the way of it.
But I had no idea the 31st was pre-release (so much for being a Magic addict, right?). You should probably add that to the calendar.

Since you're new, you don't want to just up and buy the books. The DM should have sufficient material to get all newbies started. It may turn out you'd be more suited to DM, but you'll only get to know that as you play the game. If I get my game started, probably on Feb 7th since the 31st is the Worldwake Pre-release and would definitely impair our playing and concentration, I'll walk you through the basics of character creation, since the first game most people are rushed through and given a lot of words they have no way of understanding - as was my own first experience. I think character creation is one of the most fun aspects about the game, especially if you can give the character some background or some little quirks.
Anyway, I'll be up at CGC tomorrow, the 24th at around 7 just to get an idea of the crowd on a non-event day. I haven't decided on a max yet, but if it gets really big (maybe 10 or more), I might split the group into 2 and let someone else DM the second group and the groups can meet somewhere down the line and merge if the playerbase starts dwindling again. Whatever works best. So yeah, if you're there tomorrow, I'll be the half-asian guy with the goatee, probably shuffling Magic cards.

Okay, so the first game was officially the 7th, but nobody showed up, so we played a different kind of D&D with zombies and there's no character sheets, just a bunch of d6's. I still want to try to have D&D on Sundays, but if nobody shows up next Sunday we'll probably just do Shotgun Diaries (the zombie D&D game).
So yeah, stuff. Delve night is Sunday nights at 7 (might change to 6, but 7 for sure)

"Nooh Quests" is a go. I titled the game after all the new players we have in the game, and so far everyone seems to be having tons of fun. Come join in or just watch. The group is still growing, so we may need a second DM to split the group if it gets too big.
